The State Leadership Conference is one of the most exciting aspects of being a Phi Beta Lambda member, and it is a large part of what differentiates the organization from other student business organizations. Held in mid-April each year, the State Leadership Conference is where Phi Beta Lambda members compete against others from across the state in over 40 business-related competitions. These events range from individual to team events, written to performance events, and from accounting to human resources, financing, marketing, public relations, C++ programming, desktop publishing, and much, much more. Competitors vie for one of the top two spots in order to quality for the National Leadership Conference, held in a different major US city every year. Members at the conference also have the opportunity to attend professional and personal development workshops, listen and learn from various speakers, and network with corporate representatives. These conferences are considered the pinnacle of the Phi Beta Lambda experience.
